Born in San Cristobal, Galapagos, William Puga started working with volunteers since the early 90's, first with World Teach organisation from the United States and eventually with other volunteers organisations around the world. He has also a wide experience serving the local community and worked for many years as an official with the Galapagos National Park and other local government institutions.
Currently he servers the local community as a Town Councillor for the Municipality and continues to coordinate and directs the educational programs and projects with foreign volunteers.
Matt Kelly - UK Director
Matt is a former volunteer, who stayed on the island for three months teaching English with New Era Galapagos. Matt now works as a teacher in the UK and is Director of the New Era Galapagos UK branch, organising and recruiting volunteers from the UK and Europe.
Caroline Drewett - UK Director
Caroline is also a former volunteer who lived in San Cristobal for three months teaching English. She is now the director of Coast Language Schools, a residential English Language Summer School in the UK. Coast Language Schools works in conjunction with the people of San Cristobal and is a partner of New Era Galapagos. Find out more about this partnership here.
