The Galapagos National Park (GNP) Service is the institution responsible for the management of all activities within the Galapagos Islands and the Galapagos Marine Reserve. Two of NEGF's cofounders, William Puga and Xavier Castro, are employees of the GNP.
WorldTeach: www.worldteach.org
WorldTeach (WT) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based at the Center for International Development at Harvard University, which provides opportunities for individuals to make a meaningful contribution to international education by living and working as volunteer teachers in developing countries. Matt Garlick, co-founder of NEGF in 2000, and Board Members Becky Aicher and Leah Aylward are all former WT volunteers.

Founded by Barry Boyce, author of "A Traveler's Guide to the Galapagos Islands," Galapagos Travel is a California-based tour operator that offers educationally-oriented tours to the Galapagos Islands. Barry and Galapagos Travel provided a seed grant that enabled NEGF to open El Rincon Ecologico, a community center and headquarters for all of NEGF's programs.

Co-founded by former Peace Corps and Charles Darwin Research Station volunteer Ryan Finchum, Emerald Planet uses tourism as a conservation tool in order to generate measurable benefits to protected areas and/or conservation organizations in Latin America.
InterConnection: www.interconnection.org
InterConnection is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide no-cost and low-cost professional, affordable websites and Internet technology assistance to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in developing countries. InterConnection helped NEGF establish its first Web site in October 2001.

The Charles Darwin Foundation is dedicated to promoting conservation, education, and scientific research in and on behalf of the Galapagos Islands.
Creative Connections: www.ccph.com
Founded by former WT volunteer Paul Hurteau, Creative Connections links classrooms from the Amazon rain forest, Canadian Arctic, Galapagos Islands, Africa, and rural China with partner classrooms, mainly in the US, through art exchanges, 'study partnerships,' e-mail and the Internet.
