The Galapagos National Park (GNP) Service is the institution responsible for the
management of all activities within the Galapagos Islands and the Galapagos Marine
Reserve. Two of NEGF's cofounders, William Puga and Xavier Castro, are employees
of the GNP.
WorldTeach

WorldTeach (WT) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based at the Center
for International Development at Harvard University, which provides opportunities
for individuals to make a meaningful contribution to international education by
living and working as volunteer teachers in developing countries. Matt Garlick,
co-founder of NEGF in 2000, and Board Members Becky Aicher and Leah Aylward are
all former WT volunteers.
RedAtom Web Design

The New Era Galapagos Foundation website is designed, hosted and maintained by RedAtom, a web design company based in the UK.
RedAtom is run by former NEGF volunteer Jon Chamberlain, who got started on improving the foundation's web presence when he
came to the Galapagos Islands in 2004. Jon now works remotely from the UK, updating the website with news from Matt and William, and adding
new functionality to make it a more valuable resource for New Era, Galapagos residents and volunteers.

Travel

Founded by Barry Boyce, author of "A Traveler's Guide to the Galapagos Islands,"
Galapagos Travel is a California-based tour operator that offers educationally-oriented
tours to the Galapagos Islands. Barry and Galapagos Travel provided a seed grant
that enabled NEGF to open El Rincon Ecologico, a community center and headquarters
for all of NEGF's programs.

Ryan Finchum, Emerald Planet uses tourism as a conservation tool in order to generate
measurable benefits to protected areas and/or conservation organizations in Latin

Creative Connections

Founded by former WT volunteer Paul Hurteau, Creative Connections links classrooms
from the Amazon rain forest, Canadian Arctic, Galapagos Islands, Africa, and rural
China with partner classrooms, mainly in the US, through art exchanges, 'study
partnerships,' e-mail and the Internet.
